Johnny Ray & Troubleshotz consists of three very talented and professional musicians. Each member comes from diverse musical backgrounds which lends to the band's flavorful mix of sonic goodness and fun.
Johnny Ray, has a silky smooth style of sound, blending guitar and vocals with a rich passion for R&B. Playing bass for eighteen years before switching to guitar for last fifteen years, gives John the ability to work well with the rhythm section.
Keith Mitchell is the bass player and backing vocalist. He has been playing since the 1970's. He was in a couple of variety bands called Sierra Express and Southern Breakdown. While with Sierra Express, the band opened for country acts such as Charlie Daniels, Ricky Skaggs and Leann Rimes.
Thom Riley is the drummer and the driving force behind the music. He got his first set of drums at the age of 12. At the age of 16 he was playing with bands R&R and Crystal George and remembers having to go outside on break because he wasn't old enough to be in the bar. He's jammed with many great musicians over the past 20 years. He has perfect meter and his fills are creative and dynamic. He plays with confidence and style that is uniquely his.
Johnny Ray & Troubleshotz plays a mix of rock & roll from the 50's to the 80's and an occasional country song here and there. They are easy to talk to and love to mingle among the audience. Far from pretentious and in no way elitist, these good ol' boys love to rock, and love to have fun!!
